More oil adjustment

Thee pdf manual doesnt say, so Im assuming that a bigger gap/unscrewing it gives more oil? THX in advance.

not to hijack, but the 22mm maximum for adjustment, is that pushing it??

In other words, I run all my outboards and other 2strokes at roughly 45-50:1 premix

What kind of ratio does setting free play at 22mm give? roughly?
 
funny thing when i was up north last week, i talked to the yamaha dealer there about how little oil i used in January when it was -25 below. it was like 96:1. the dealer wasn't surprised and said 100:1 sounds about right on the viper triples. dunno

pumps vary by design so the only way of really knowing is run it and check
amounts used,usually max spec for leaning out oil pumps is still within reasonable limits of oil from what i've come to find out.

you couldn't pay me to run my sleds at 100:1..lol

I agree, but new Johnson/evinrude 2 stroke outboards...100:1 is what you're supposed to run...

Sounds whacked but thats how clean those 2 strokers are becoming

so if I measure the gap to exactly 22MM with a micrometer...Im still SAFE then? good to know!

right thats because of environment issues/the engine is operated in water.

your spec is 20 to 22mm so you could do 22 sure,i would go a little richer
tho till you tune 'er in 45-48:1 IMO..try 22 and see,you just gota play till
ya get er dialed in.

Got it set at 19.5...with 150 main jest. No fouling issues, but I think Id rather have 148's in there. Ill run it see how it acts.
 
I don't know what my jets are, but I have my gap maybe a sliver under 19mm and find it to be borderline light yet. I have been keeping an eye on consumption and think this might be close for my sled.
 
Stock

Stock is 20-22mm..so Im def. getting more oil than I was. I just need to fill then compare.
