How many diff. types of cannisters did yamaha make. I picked up a couple used for my sons vmax 500xt and the one is too big at the top for the rubber to fit and the hole is huge, the other one that came with it fits fine (different size top)rubber fits good. They are adj, cannisters but they are different. My adjustable rubber fits on the one but not the other? whats up with this? I thought they made em all the same from 94 thru 97.
 
I am also interested... I have a 96 XT which I THOUGHT came with adjustable TSS (mine does NOT). So I am looking at possibly switching over and am curious which bits will transfer over.

My thought is that you have an adjustable can and a "standard" can...
 
My cans are not adjustable , however the two I bought are, but one has a big hole in top and is wider and a little longer(higher), They all look the same from a distance ( same color, tss stamped on side,) and wrapped in silver but are different. wtf?
 
on the xt's only the 600's are adjustable , the 500's are not. yammy it sounds like you have one for the adjustable and one not.
 
Ya ,i think I know whats up....I got a vmaxx 4 one,,,its a strait tube on top w/ abigger cap. thanks all for your input
