This weekend while out riding, I went to start my 99 srx after stopping for a break. When it started, it acted like the T.O.R.S system was activated. After shutting of the sled then starting it again about 10 times, it finally worked normal. I noticed that hitting the kill switch then starting again didn't help, but turning the key off and on finally helped. This happened to me once before about 4-5 years ago. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks.
P.S. Great forum guys..best I've ever seen.

if its tors make sure the throttle cable is set correctly ... if it set correct then u can unplug the tors on carb and conect the wire together for a test ... if the problem is solved then the tors switch is defect ......tors help if the carb freeze open or stuck so not a good idea to leave it unplug
Ok, I know the throttle cable is set good, so if I unplug the tors, start the sled then connect the wire together, it should kick in then?
it will cancel the tors ... so good to go but no more safety

Connect the wire together then start the sled
That makes sense. Its hard to tell whats going on because the sled runs fine now the way it is. Maybe if it happens again I'll try unplugging it and see what happens...thanks Mod.
