Hi, I had my 98 MSRX the powervalve motor went out of it shortly after replacing it the sled ran like crap no power and would not go above 7500 Rpm even with the track lifted. I have been trying to diagnose it for the last couple weeks. I found all three of my spark plug caps were pooched they were showing a open connection on my meter. They should be 5K ohm at 68 F
Hope this helps!! waiting for parts let you know if it fixed it!!

iridium sucks for performance. Look up the elemental properties of that stuff, it's rock. Try lighting a spark through a rock.

Well I've replaced all my spark plug caps and it runs like a million bucks so if you are seeing this trouble get your multimeters out!

don't use the BR10ECS plugs, as they are a little too cold. use the BR9ECS plugs for everyday use.....less fouling.

The Iridium are not for performance. They will last allot longer and are impossible to foul in the SRX. Money wise they turn out the same since you won't need to change them every year.

If you're not looking for performance, why ride a SRX... If you're worried about a few bucks for new plugs, you're in the wrong sport. Dollar spent per mile ridden has to be higher than any other sport out there, other than pro sports-ie.-- drag racing, circle burning, ya know.
