I bought a kit w/ track from Tracks USA for about $700. The rails are heavy duty but they send you a box of parts and leave it to you to iron out. The box of parts is not exactly complete. Hartman Industries makes a whole kit, rear cooler cross over, hoses and instructions. I think Hartman's kit is a little more money but might be a little less pissing around since all the parts are there. Right now I'm in the process of figuring out if I can make my cooler work without drop brackets or if I should just go with a crossover tube.

extentions

The hartman kit is top notch. If your running studs you'll need to fabricate your own rear cooler protectors because the cooler he supplies is alot different than an srx or viper cooler ( smaller ). I installed an 1 1\4 studded ripsaw which by the way is not a true 1 1\4 it's 3\16 shorter. If i was doing it all over again i would have gone to 1 1\2 studded track. I'm running 8 tooth extro drivers.

I bought the Tracks USA extension and track, came with 6 bolts, washers, and nuts, 2 extensions, and a track..........does not get much more straight forward than that! LOL

Ah! You get wise now, where were you a month ago when I posted asking about clearances at the rear cooler!? I thought the idea here was to be helpful.

I have Hartman's 151" kit on my 02' Viper. The kit was complete w/great instruction sheets. The couple of quick questions I had during install he answered for me easily. It's held up well for me.

I extended mine with used Yamaha parts
used MMax tunnel extension - stripped the paint to bare aluminum
used MMax hose covers
used MMax rear bumper
used Mtn Viper rear cooler
a couple of new Yamaha cooler hoses
and a new longer length blue Yamaha snow flap I got off Ebay for $17

I didn't need rail extensions as I'm running a 136 M10, but the TracksUSA ones are rated topnotch.
And I went with a 136" Camoplast Intense 1.5" - great track for on off trail. And I added a set of Simmons skis to balance the package out.

Tips: You can find these parts on Snowest or the Totallyamaha forum - I think I paid $200 or so for all the used stuff. ( excluding cooler )
The M Viper cooler, IMO, is enough cooler except for basically running ice, it has the right diameter hose ends to match up to the machine, and it easily fits in a stock MMax extension. And I'm running the 1.5" lug height. I sold my Viper ( SRX style rear cooler )and went with the Mtn Viper smaller one

Thats what im looking for an affordable way of doing this ,and your sled looks awsome, how does it handle on the groomed trails ,the reason why i ask is because that is where i do most of my riding, and if you dont mind me asking how much did it cost you for all the used parts?

I think I paid $75 to $100 for the extension and the bumper.
The hose covers ran around $45.
I think I paid around $100 for the rear cooler, but I sold my Viper one for more than that. If you're lucky enough to find someone selling the cooler that has the hoses, you might get them thrown in for the same price. If you're mainly running in good snow and the engine is stock, you might get away with the crossover tube.
The machine is good on groom trails - the Simmons skis made a huge difference over stock skis ( Snowest in mint shape - $200; new they're $600 here in Canada ), and I'm running an M10 as well. You wouldn't need the 1.5" track. I bought the Intense new on Ebay for about $350 and got about $300 for the 121 that came off.

stretched viper reply

tracks usa 136" rail extensions and definately Tom Hartman for the tunnel extension. nows your chance to go big so i recommend 1.75" camoplast backcountry track! 8 tooth extroverts, and she will rip. the boys pretty well summed it up but just throwing in my 2 cents, lol
