Electrical Question??

2001 srx 700 This guy gave a call saying his 2001 srx is having some electrical problem's. His light's are going dim when he put's the brake on and when he hit's the high& low beam switch the tach jumps all over. Hand & thumb warmer's are a hit and miss. Was't there a wireing problem in the harness this year of sled. Or could it be a bad ground.

Under the motor is a possibility, yes.

ya it's one place to start,plug is up by the hood hinge un plug it tie a string
to it and pull it back out a foot from under the motor(carb side) look for
any rubbing,remove the carbs will help to get at it better,there's clips holding it too to the belly pan you'll need to reach in and try to pull them back,once done use the string that you tied to pull it back through to the front.

Unplug wiring at hood and tail light went too a proper operating color with brake light on. Soon as i plug in harness head light go's dim and the dash light's,and when you hit the high&low switch the tack drops.Doe's the harness go around threw the fuel tank.
