hello, hope everyones season is going as good as mine...anyways...quick question...96 vmax 600...Saturday we were doing some heavy riding thru deep lake snow, and now all of a sudden, Im hearing a lite rattling noise coming from what I think is the clutch area. It is very hard to pinpoint, but it is a small rattling noise on slow throttle, its not very loud, and only I notice it.. it does it at slow speeds now, and when I hit the brake, it seems to go away... I was thinking of changing the belt, but im not sure its the belt, as I can hold the brake down, and hit the throttle, and you can still somewhat hear that noise(not as loud) and the belt is not turning, so I figure that would rule out any belt problems...it sounds like its coming from the primary clutch area, or under the motor itself...almost as if a piece of tin can is rattling somewhere. could this be a bearing going in the clutch? I dont think its the muffler as I can hold that still, and still hear the noise, I grabbed hold of all the metel parts, thinking maybe that was vibrating, but still the noise wont go away....I dont hear it when Im driving fast, its only on slower speeds, and mostly when I hit the throttle...any ideas? could it be the belt? the belt is only a couple months old, but like I said I can still hear it if I hold the break down, and belt doesnt spin, but its not as loud if i have the break depressed...... thanks, Pete
