Here's what I do. I place the trail pass underneath the headlight. So, what I do is cut out the trail pass perfectly around where you would normally peel it, without peeling it so that you still have the paper backing on it. Then, I slide it underneath the headlight. When you do this, you will notice that it sticks out past the headlight. I then use a marker to mark where I want to trim the pass so it fits flush with the headlight, then I remove it and trim it with scissors. Then, I slide it back underneath the headlight and open the hood. From there, you will see a small part of the trail pass. I then use some clear scotch tape, and tape both sides of it to the bottom of the headlight. That's it. When the sled is running, the headlight reflects a bit off the trailpass and lights it up, and this way you don't have to stick those ugly stickers on your hood or windshield.

another idea...

what i do is take the trail permit and remove the backing as normal but
instead of sticking it on the windshield like your suppose to i stick it to 3M wide masking tape trim perfect then stick it to the windy that way if you want to use it on another sled just peel it off and stick it on another sled, that way it can be removed over and over with out voiding the sticker.the CO's or cops will never notice.

And all the evidence is right here in writing!! :rulez:

Hey Modsrx, does damon or valin have anything you need, I can think of a few things!! Can you say blackmale!!! :Moon:

I've been stopped by the trail wardens and police, and had no issues with it's location. Most of them think it's a great idea.

I like this idea.....I have 5 sleds and can only ride one at a time anyway, right??

I know its wrong but I agree you should not have to buy trail passes for each sled. I think it is total bulls**t. Like the ideas.

If you move it to another sled you still have to show your trail papers papers. On there they have the sleds licence number. They don't ask for it in Michigan?

Like the idea of clear wide tape. Easier to remove at the end of season.

nope no paper trail per sled or number specific.

thats awesome idea right now its on the backside of my windshield on the left side, so if they look at reg #'s and license you cant miss the permit on the other side staring you in the face.

Phatboy.
I have been stopped at least 50 times out on the trails here over the last ten years and have NEVER EVER been asked for the paperwork that goes with the sticker.
As long as they see the sticker, away you go, providing you are sober. Most trail stops up here are looking for the drunks.
Cheers,
Rick.
