I am taking a clutch apart for the first time on my 98 700 sx. It was starting to hang up on take off. I pulled the primary off and removed the cover. Surface of cover bushing is rough and so is the shaft it rides on. How much play is ok? Parts or on back order from Yamaha and I am leaving tomorrow for the north woods. Where the belt rides is rough and needs sanded. There is less that I would guess .005 clearance in the bushings. Clutch is stock and not altered with 6000 miles on it. All i need it to do is work for this week end and I am done for the year. I am going to Clutch it after the season any way. Any suggestions? Rollers are all fine, no slop there either and I dont see any flat spots on the weight ramps either. I have seen talk of installing Polaris P85 primary's. Does this line up without moving engine?
