99 srx conversion to 00+

a guy is building a drag sled out of a 99' stock srx, and am wondering if the whole ignition system could be completly swapped out
and replaced with a 00' and up. the reason for is that i have a re-programmed cdi for race pipes for a 2001 and would like to do a complete swap.

what all would he need?

Im selling my srx for parts and hes asking me... but im not sure what all he would need. can any one list me all the parts he would require. coils wirings lights etc...

yes possible to do it ....u will need all the electrical stuff of the 00..stator flywheel ect ect ....and u will need to find a good tig welder to put the new crank trigger ...00 and up got a smaller flywheel so they change the crank trigger ..same place but closer to the flywheel

How much does all that usualy go for? Im not sure how much to charge him for all of it. if he is interested still...

any ideas?
 
u will need the new pod for the light .the newer light ..well all depend how mutch it will cost u to weld the lower motor case for the crank trigger...handwarmer and thumb are not the same ....everything that is electrical need to be change ...rpm tach ....and so on
 
ahh ok.. wells its not me doing this.... a guy contacted askin me if he could get all my wiring and everything so he can make his 99 work with 00 components...

as long as i sell him everything im happy...lol...

so basically he would need my whole hood sort to say...

jees might as well sell him the whole thing! lol
 
yep he will need everything .. windshield will not fit on the new pod and so on ...
