Was out last weekend on the Viper after leaving it for my younger brother to drive... Almost every time I come to a stop and am off the throttle I'll get a back fire from the exhaust.
He put some 89 octane in it, but then put in some premium on a later ride. Not sure if that would be causing it. I've run almost a full tank of premium in it and it still hasn't cleared up.
Thoughts, experiences, ideas?

have you changed the plugs on it yet? might have a bad one. otherwise it sounds like you need reeds.

I know that the fuel would not affect it that bad some places I run you are only able to get 87 octane(regular) I have never had any backfires. could be like Maim said check your plugs. Not sure about reeds though.

what was the temp when you were driving
Mine was doing the same thing in the beginning of the season but it would back fire and stall. I run 89 Octane. I was told that it was from water in the gas and possibly a fowled plug. So I changed the plugs and put in some K-100G Fuel treatment for the possible water problem. It has been running in tip top shape since!
