hello, question.. I have 96 vmax 600...I had my local mechanic work on my sled for me..he said that the water pump belt was very loose and worn. So he put on a brand new belt for me..But he said there was no way to adjust this like on other brand sleds, so he took off to shim looking things.. can someone tell me if this was correct of him? do these have shims? he said he had to remove two of them, in order to get the new belt to fit correctly..They are both round shiny looking things, with what looks like three holes for screws...sled seems to be running fine, but I would just like to check..thanks

yes that is how you adjust WP belt deflection on a twin, with removing or adding shims in the crank pully(it splits).

ok, thanks
he replaced that belt, and put a different clutch cover on the primary for me....stinking thing still has a slight vibration in the front on low throttle...not as loud as before, but still an annoyance...oh well..Im not gonna worry any more about it..probably just a piece of plastic or something vibrating under the motor

he said he checked
the clutches...and greased everything.said the bushing on the cover was bad on the primary, and he had a spare cover w/bushing, so he replaced that
