I just purchased a Poo IQ skid and was ready to install it (but turned out being a POS - many broken parts). Its easier to finish off the season with my stock Viper skid.

Anyway, here is a photo (hopefully). The bottom piece is broken off at the first cross bar - two connections. Weld it back together an put angle bracing down each leg? Suggestions?
Thanks,
Ed

As long as your precise with your measurements and make both sides the exact same which im sure you would I dunno why it wouldnt work. Run a plate down each side and weld it on and you should be good to go. I reinforced mine last year and have had no problems at all with it.

^^ x2 ..what he said. Weld it and re-inforce it.I have 4 of them done this way,2 spares. The ones on my sleds are still good since beginning of season.

Any special steel? just some metal flat stock...same thickness as tubing?

so 1/4" thick (from the rail end to mid way up the arm). weld along the edge or drill the plate and spot weld? So this is on the outside vertical only? nothing on the top or bottom and nothing on the side? You could bend the plate stock to fit on the side vertical? Asking twice...weld once.
Thanks.....

anything wrong with 1/4"...thicker the better I would think. Where do you put the gussets on the arm (up at the top)?

Any photos would be helpful.
Thanks....
