Does anybody have a good set-up for slp pipes on a 97 sx700. Jet setting too. I couldn't find anything on the tech page. Thanks, Bryan

SLP has everything on their web page. Unfortunately I don,t have a lot of experience with those pipes

Primary= Yellow maximum spring, 89L weights no rivets
secondary= green spring @ 70 deg., 46/40 helix.
Jetting= Dropped 1 size on pilots, Jetted for -20 according to
SLP chart and put on a temp flow.

Dave, how does this setup pull, and how is the top end? Also, what size rollers are you running?

I used 15mm rollers and I geared down one tooth. You probably
wouldn't have to change gears but SLP recommended it on there
clutching page. I've used a 49/43 helix also but I didn't notice a huge
difference in acceleration from the 46/40. Mid range and top end seem
to be real good. I could stay even with my dad's stock 00 SRX 700
with this set up.

what year is your sx. Also, where does that engage, and what does she rev all the way through and on top end?

I have a 97 sx700. It engages at 4800 and shifts out to
8800-8900. The spring is a few years old now. The first year
I had the spring it engaged too high, so if I did it again I would
work with the Yamaha springs.
