Lean burn question

Just a thought . . .

I perceive that there is a bit getting lost in the translations here.
 
I thought I was following, seemed like a question that someone wanted a reasonable answer too and seemed like most guys where willing to answer it.
like any other question asked, everyone has differnet opinions I guess

I guess that's what made me respond a bit harshly perhaps and maybe there is a language issue. I too thought it was an interesting question worthy of discussion thus my reaction to someone wanting to slam the door on it.

I've never been involved in cooling system design but I would think one of the goals would be even cooling across all cylinders top to bottom. Seems to me the cylinder head would be the hottest point thus making it the most difficult part to control. My first reaction would be why wouldn't you want the coldest coolant at the head before it flows down through the jug. Thermo shock perhaps?

Again, no expert.

I got to looking at my SRX last night and perhaps Yamaha did all their homework and created a flawless system thus ending any debate. I haven't had the pump off but it looks like the inlet is off center but the cover looks like it goes across to the PTO side. Ideally, three pumps at the base of each jug receiving the same temp coolant along with same size passages through-out should produce even cooling. Obviously not practicle. Are all three jugs and cylinder heads the same?

Yet again, no expert.

I'm familar with the old Fuji twins and triples. The pump hangs off the side of the one piece jug. The one piece head hasket has different size coolant holes to force more even flow across all cylinders. That would suggest even cooling is desireable.

Even with a perfectly even flowing system, what other factors are involved with the design? What about clutch heat? What about packaging? What if you can't package three pipes that produce the same scavaging?

Couldt it be because its not possible to press air down from the topend and tru the sylinders? :) Air in a coolingsystem will stop the cirkulation and make the engine run hot in a few minutes..

The water will never cool down that much, so thermo-shock is not even clpse I guess..
