Are you willing to help out and donate to make this happen?

I am thinking of heading back down to see Jim at Dynotech to do a pile of dyno runs with my SRX trail sled. If I go, what I plan on doing is dynoing the sled with basically every bolt on modification you can do, one step at a time, so you all will know what makes power, and what does not. This will be a very good indicator for what to buy, and what not to buy for you all. Here's the dyno plans:

Dyno with:

- stock pipes and stock silencer
- stock pipes with MBRP silencer
- stock pipes and Bender silencer
- stock pipes with Bender's newly designed silencer
- stock reeds
- V-Force 3 reeds
- my Bender 835 pipes
- Buffalo Bob's Bender 835 pipes (different design)
- race CDI vs. stock CDI (+2 degrees @8500 rpm, +3 degrees @8800 rpm)
- 33mm carbs
- 38mm carbs
- anything else requested?

I am willing post the graph and data for all of the runs, so you can all see, step by step, what works, and what doesn't. Now, here's the catch. Dynotime is not cheap. Just doing this will take atleast a full day, and probably cost $1000. I am putting this up here to gauge interest and see who, if any, would be willing to help me out with the cost of this. If we get enough people involved, it shouldn't cost us all that much. Do me a favor, and if you are interested in helping out, either let me know in this thread, or pm me. If there is a lack of interest, I won't be doing this.

Cool idea. I'd be willing to maybe kick a few $$ in. Would Jim then post it on his site as well? I ask since I'm a subscriber there too.

The runs would all be on video for sure. I would have to talk to him about putting it up on his site. I would also have to talk to the various manufacturers to see if they would allow it. I'm sure they would, providing they make power :)

You mean there is a possibility that they don't all make power. I'M SHOCKED:)

You may want to test V-force 2's (new or with new pedals). Seen some make less hp with 3's. Some 40 or 44mm lectrons would be good info for you also.

It would be interesting to see a couple different clutch set-ups also - heelclicker and 8bu's would be cool - just to see where in the curve the most power is to the track!! ;)!

I sure hope that I can get the support in order to make this happen. If there isn't much interest, then I'm not going to put the time into it. So far I've only had a few people mention they wanted to help out.

I will have to acquire all of the parts in order to do this testing. So far, I will only need a power inc. canister.

Toydoc, I thought about going with Lectrons, but only the racers are going to run them, and there really aren't that many of us. I have also not played with Lectrons, so it'd take me a bit to figure out how to set them up, and I do not have them, or manifolds.

As for the Delta 3's, they are brand new, and I will have Delta 2's there as well, with brand new pedals.

RYAN, I LOVE TO HELP YA, BUT TESTING A 780 AIN,T GONNA HELP ME. I HAVE A PORTED 700 SRX WITH STOCK TRIPLES AND STOCK CAN. ONLY THINK I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IS A DYNO RUN ON THOSE POWER inc SRX TRIPLE PIPES WE TALKED ABOUT. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Looking at the design of the power inc's, I don't think they will flow nearly enough to work on my motor, and I also think they would hold too much heat in the engine to work for any distance.
