Hey guys been searching for the answer but found nothing...

I installed a set of viper trailing arms that I bought off here on my 98 srx to raise the front to match the m-10 rear. Kept every thing else stock, rods, ski's and rubber ski bumper.

Every post I read says it's a bolt and go, all you need is the arms spindles and steering arms...not so for me.

install went super smooth..but there is so much caster, that there is no ski contact until 2" behind the spindle post.

am I missing something?

yes using the "s" ski bumpers and kept the front end stock, rods, sway bar and stock ohlins with ohlin ext., because according to all the posts I read, this was just a bolt and go upgrade to raise the front to match the long travel rear...not so?

Thanks for the help....

yea thats why your having the issues for one the S bumper is thicker in the rear vs others so it's going to put more back pressure on the ski and for two because your front is stock(sitting lower) your going to have more "forward" caster with the M TA(thats already 2.0 deg more caster to begin with),need to ditch the S bumpers and long travle your front end or get the right V stamping TA.

Thanks...I knew there was more caster with the viper arms according to all the posts. Just confused on how they say they kept the front shocks stock and just added the viper trailing arms...

Any ski bumpers that are higher in the front and lower in the rear than the "s" type to counter the extra caster?

Or would puting the aftermarket shock brakets back in, to raise the front, make a difference?

just find a bumper thats not a S(doesn't say S on it)one and the rubber will be thinner in the rear so LESS rear down force.rasing the front would help too but i'm not into that mod so can't help ya on that one,try a search.

Called te dealer and he stated the viper bumper is lower in the rear and higher in the front, but they will not be isn stock till tues. :(

I thought I sent you the Viper bumpers?

yes you did...I looked in the bag you sent with all the nuts and bolts and there is a set of bumpers. Much taller all round compared to the stock ones. Will try them out and see if it works.

Thanks
