My 02 Viper needs a new track and the wife's 98 srx is getting close, was thinking of extending the skids on both to either 136 or 141 and putting on 1.5 inch tracks or the 1.352 that camoplast makes. Any input would be nice to let me know if it is worth while or not and how much work it is. OH ya still cold on the prairies hoping to get in a great ride this weekend.
Not sure what kind of riding you do but a 136 with a 1 1/4 track would be an easy upgrade. Going any taller on the track will require 8 tooth drives and re-gearing.
Seeing that you are Canadian too "eh" try these guys for parts http://www.trackscanada.net/

very worthwhile upgrade! look at hartman inc for extension kits he makes really nice kits and is very helpful with questions and setup information. 136" 1.25 is a world of difference from a 121.

Hey thanks for the help.

You must be from Steinbach, grew up in Wpg myself, do you know anything about the 1.352 (1.325) that camoplast makes, and is there a gear change for that?? Oh ya glad to hear there is a canadian place that carries the extension kit, as we are getting killed on the exchange right now. Also I work at a custom steel manufacturing place, aluminum, stainless so making some of the stuff myself is pretty easy.stein700sx said:Not sure what kind of riding you do but a 136 with a 1 1/4 track would be an easy upgrade. Nope, not from Steinbach but I live between the 'Peg and Steinbach.
Don't know much on the 1.325 track. I know that if you use a 1 1/4 track it will rub on the exchangers protectors. Not a big deal tho. Many members here have done that with no problems
