How do i determine the correct mounting points to replace a stock vmax skid with a pro action out of a 99 vmax. I am trying to come up with a way to find the right spacing to get the geometry right. I appreciate any insight into this project. Sled runs too good to justify replacing just yet.
Thanks

you need this: center of drive to front w arm, w arm to rear scissor, top of tunnel to w arm ,top of tunnel to rear scissor. all center to center. this is the simplest way. you can get more involved with these measurements and create an arc, using the measurements and any place the dimensions lines up on the arc is suitable. measure carefully and accurately. cardboard or aluminum templates will reduce guesswork.
does the suspension need to be somewhat compressed when these measurements are taken, or is it in just in a relaxed state with the limit staps unhooked? Im trying to see if there is a way to be sure that i position the shafts right to have the correct tension on them when mounted. or is there some one that has a 99 vmax with a proaction that would be willing to help me with some measurements?
your not measuring the suspension, you are measuring the mounting points from the donor sled. not to oversimplify, where all the bolts go in the tunnel of the donor sled, with the exception of the drive axle location, which is a major fixed point. hope that makes sense.
