Riding in warmer conditions last weekend...is there a temp cut out on a 02 Viper that makes the sled miss and limit rpms. I shut it down and waited a few minutes to cool off and it restarted and ran fine the rest of the day. I had just climbed a hill that had marginal snow. My dash has a short so my idiot light is gone. I did check the expansion tank and there was no pressure on it.
Don't know if I need to look for other problems.

your dash cutting out, is most likely a rub thru in the wiring harness, that leads up to the dash. check that think out all over. tends to rub thru by motor and carbs. i've heard of it causing wierd running issues as well.
