Well I got shafted out of my BLT kit that I listed on ebay. A guy or I suspect kid bought it from NY. He paid for it pretty quick via paypal and I sent it out to him. He got it and claimed that one of the tie rods where missing. I checked his feedback and it was good so I refunded his money, sent him a free shipping ticket back and submitted a claim to usps. Guess what never heard from him again, he won't take it to the post office to have it inspected, won't answer my phone calls, and ignores all my emails. I called paypal and they said sorry we don't have any seller protection. Ebay's only recourse is non paying bidder, I can not even give him bad feedback.

So I have analyzed where I went wrong. First I probably should have demanded the parts back before the refund. But here is the real lesson. Do not use the refund button on paypal. It draws directly from your bank account electronically and you can not stop payment on an electronic transfer. If you want to refund the money send the money back as if you are paying for something. This way if it does not come back you can file a paypal claim because technically you are buying it back and when you do send the money back draw it from your credit card. This way you call the credit card company and complain they charge paypal which pisses them off and they actually do something. Usually they draw the money back weasle instantly and you now have your money. Rather then being screwed in my case!

So there is the paypal refund lesson for the TY crowd. J
 
I was always in favor of the "road trip" theory,, You know his name and you also know where he lives....I' was BORN and RASIED in Chicago in the WORLD FAMOUS (1970's race riots) MARQUETTE PARK area of Chicago... I suppose there are different rules and different levels of respect here in Chicago that people in New York just don't get!!!!! if you have the INSANITY to pull some CRAP on ME or any of MY FRIENDS,,, we go OUT OF OUR WAY to try and see to it that you either NEVER DO THAT AGAIN or have some really HEAVY DUTY SECOND THOUGHTS before you try and pull some CRAP like that again!!!! Maybe I was brought up a LITTLE DIFFERENTLY than MOST OF YOU,,, BUT,,,, I don't take kindly to people SCREWING others.... What comes around,,,,,,goes around!!!! You can BET on that!!!
 
That sucks hope your not out too much,thanks for the tip for sure i hope you see something in the end,can't believe the dirt bags out here nowadays.
 
hey daman...times have changed..or didn't you notice.There is more and more greed out there,dishonest people,etc.And if it keeps going like this,mankind is out of sync with reality.The good people will be saved,but the rotten,no good for nothing,evil and dishonest,low life scum of the earth(hate to say it..but there are a lot of them out there now) will roast in the depths of HELL!!!.It's getting to a point that you can't trust your neighbour anymore.EVIL lurks around us and is ever increasing in this so called world we call EARTH.I don't know what is wrong with mankind,but if someone can gain a buck through dishonesty..they do it.It seems to be the norm now.I was brought up to respect people,treat others like you like to be treated,don't hurt anyone,have trust in mankind(until you are stung),and do good onto others,help people in need.BUT it seems all that is thrown out the window now.It's each for themselves...a ME world.When I was a kid,I never in my wildest dreams would think the world would end up the way it is now.If the world keeps turning like it is..then the end is near,game over.The good ones will be saved,the bad ones will perish.
 
Oh i noticed hard not too when you come here every day and read about this crap i guess i'm just the type of person that couldn't sleep at night ripping off people and can't believe other people are capable of no problem at all.
 
Me too. I learned at a very young age not to screw over someone. My dad and grandfathers knew how to teach right from wrong. Its hard for stupid not to teach stupid.

Anyways he's from herkimer and yanked me for around 150.00. I would love to find someone on here that belongs to their snowmobile club and knows him. I would just like him to know he actually stole something! And its more then his little secret.


Do you think the local police would do anything if I contacted them?

what we need on this site is some members who are actually police officers and who could help assist us in time of need.To help with the proper channels to go in order to prosecute these dirty rats.Something has to be done.I hear on the news that rip off artists and scammers is a big now in society.So why wouldn't local police forces want to act in enforcing the law and nail these guys. ;)!
 
did you get a name and address? post it so he could be flamed here, craiglist, ad in paper ect...make him make it right by feeling like a dirtbag....friends know friends ect... i am aout a half hour from there.

The Craigslist post is kind of a neat idea. Can anybody see if he has a facebook? Guess we'd need his name for that. If you guys plan anything, please keep it to PM's to reduce the risk to TY. ;)!
 
Its not worth 150 to me to get anybody in trouble or risk of injury. Pretty sure he is a loser probably should leave it at that.

I sent an email to the police to see if they would do anything. Tommorrow he gets his non paying bidder strike and I'm going to fill out a mail fraud form at the post office. But they pretty much said don't expect anything out of that.

The funniest thing is the one time I called there it was during the day. I asked for him some lady said he was not there. So I left a message and the lady said. Oh he used the computer to buy snowmobile parts? Like duh lady... Needless to say they don't even answer when they see my number.

Lets sign him up for a BUNCH of STUFF and KEEP his telephone RINGING off the hook selling his sled for DIRT CHEAP???
 
I think he needs his ELECTRICAL SERVICE turned off because he is installing a NEW 200 amp service... Then his GAS service because he is installing a new BOILER, and then MAYBE see if he has cable TV and suspend for a MONTH because he is on VACATION... Order him the CHICAGO TRIBUNE home delivery (they will send you the paper for SIX MONTHS before they send you a BILL) and MAYBE some PIZZAS EVERY NIGHT from a different pizzaria... PLAYBOY and CHERI magazines in some OTHER GIRLS NAME.. Maybe a few of our WIVES to call and tell his girlfriend or WIFE just HOW GOOD he is in the sack,,,,, and THE LIST GOES ON,,,,,,,,
