no spark wheres the best place to start looking? how do you check all the electronics? really appreciate all the help given on this site. thank you alot

PROBLEY START AT CDI. I GOT TO TELL YA THOUGH. I HAVE PROBLEY OWNED SIX 1979 SRX,s OVER THE YEARS, STILL HAVE ONE I BOUGHT NEW, NEVER SAW A CDI GO BAD. POSSIBLEY COIL ON STATOR. I DON,T EVEN REMEMBER SEEING THAT. DUDE, YOU HAVE TO LOOK. I BE MORE INCLINED TO SAY MICE. THATS HOW GOOD THEIR ELCTRIC,s WERE ON THESE SLEDS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

yea i agree, i would check kill switches, tethers, grounds, ect. maby even a bad/dirty connection somewhere....

i once had a 81 srx that had what looked to be a good spark, it would pop, backfire, and blow the exhaust off. come to find out it was the connection where the wires came out of the stator. unplugged and plugged back in and it ran like a top....
