Well it got a little warmer today then I wanted it to.Got up to +4 C.Got my 47 helix in red at 80.Primary spring went to stock from w-w-w.Now my rpm's are down today, like about 400.With the 51/43 it was spot on.Now I went and added extra washers behind secondary to raise belt ,without squeal. The higher temps and sugar like snow must be dragging my rpm's down.On a open stretch could only reach 110 mph(which is not bad) but my rpm's were only at 8100-8200 WOT.One good piece of news,no overheating issue, light stayed off..so thermostat is working.
Someone mentioned they wanted to see pics of our snow yet,so took camera along and took a few pics.

These were taken from the Red River. This River stretches from Winnipeg all the way to the States Border into North dakota.I ran 80 miles on it today, still in decent shape.Seen a few Deer and a couple guys ice fishing. The pics of the Floodway gates is the syatem that protects the City during a Major Flood.I live South of it about 5 miles,I get the high end of the water.
I turned a few heads today to.Going North down the River,I am getting into Artic Cat territory. Was a good mile stretch.so I pinned it wot.Saw 4 Cat guys stopped on the side and talking.I just nailed her hard and passed them at 110,they didn't see me right away, but they must of heard me and turned around and saw me zoom by them.I made sure I was close enough for them to read SRX on the side of my sled...lol ;)!

warm out

Well it got warm out today. It hit 44 F. or 8C.The morning was great.Put back on my 51/43 helix and my rpm's are back where they should be..spot on.The 47 helix dropped my rpm's to much due to the temps and conditions.Still had the chance to get her up to about 111 mph in this weather.Sled is really running well.Out of the hole it just snaps..got to love it.Met 3 guys on Artic Cats and 1 Polaris. We all decided to run together as a group up to the next town along the River. It was a decent ride. They went into town to eat,I decided to carry on myself.First thing the guy on the Cat said to me about my sled.."is that a 4-stroke".Had that happen last year to.Somehow these guys know Yamaha has 4-stroke's.LOL
On my way back my sled started to get real loud.So I stopped at the Rat River entrance and checked it out.Looks like an exhaust donut went on me.Now I had to ride home at slow speed, like 40-45 mph.Got it changed and went out for 1 more run..it was really getting sloppy in the ditches, hitting water in alot of places.Got to the river for another good run, came home and put it away. All in all the SRX ran great and my temp light never came on and all is well.

I checked my gas usage when I got home, measured out carefully and ended up with 12 miles to the gallon spot on.Put on a total of 102 miles today, and I think there may be a slight chance of some riding yet if it cools down during the week, but next weekend it warms up again... :o|

daman..I am going to miss the snow and the openess outdoors.Winter for us wasn't that good this year.We had a major cold spell well over a month(no riding),a melt and another cold spell with the lack of snow overall. Then it comes to the end of March, just when riding is half decent and BANG the warm stuff comes in.I just don't understand why we haven't received 1 major snow storm or blizzard this season. Most of the storms were South of us,like in North Dakota and then turned Eastward towards Ontario.Been like this past fewe winters.Lack of snow seems to be the issue.Hope next year brings more and starts in October instead of around xmas.I just heard that up North from us there is a snowfall warning issued, but nothing coming South. Oh well!!!! #$%&*

blue, that is probably because of all the shelter along the river.Snow just falls down into it,less chance of wind creating drifts and the such.I like the River because how it winds and winds with a lot of good straight lines to to open it up.And along the way if you get bored, you can do some hill climbing along the
River banks. This River runs North up to Lake Winnipeg all the way South to North Dakota, and a lot of twisties.

Nothing wrong with twisties lol

I can burn a tank of gas in around 3 hrs on our river.

I am shure you can to looking at the pics.
