Its like this, i went to the local dealer and baught a new belt for my sled. and the old belt vas a 8DN-17641-00 but the new one is a 8DN-17641-01, whats the diffrence between those 2 belts, the new belt starts to slip when i go in heavy snow, the old one didnt... is it the same length on then??... and on idle the primary makes an skweeky sound. high pitched note. hard to explane like and bird whit a bad case of wiskey woice but real high and annoying =).

i dont believe there is any difference in the belts just new number 01, the squeel can be helped by removeing the washers from the three bolts going through the stationary sheeve on back side near center on the secoundary clutch,the slip can be just that you didnt wash the new belt with soap and hot water to remove mold release, scuff up clutch sheeves with scotch bright to take glaze off should look like brushed finish hope this helps there may be other ideas

I do believe the 01's are a tad wider is the diff. do as chevyboy said remove
the secondary then the shims on the bolts.

The 01 is wider than the 00. Take the secondary off, then remove the 3 washers, and put it back together. That cured the squealing on my 97 venture after putting a new belt on it. keep the washers as you may need them as the belt wears.
