lost tack and gas gauge??

hello sled ran, worked perfect 1 week ago fired her up today after putting tripple pipes on and i lost the tach and gas gauge? i looked at the wires seemed ok?checked connections,ok,gauge is good tried 2 of them.any ideas??or what color wires run these 2 peices that i can trace?thanks in advance

make sure the smoothing condesor is plugged in.

If this happened after running with the tripples I would double check the wiring up to the gauge pod.. I'm betting you melted a couple wires with the new pipes...

no i high temp foiled all the wires and foam under the hood.i double checked all looks good?

by the headlight there is a canister look thing. Its a capacitor two wires in.

i found out the problem.it was the recterfier and regulater assembaly thanks for the help.

The tach and the gas gauge use the dc circuit on the single headlight sled. That is why I suggeted the smoothing condensor. It acts like the battey in an electric start sled. W/o battery in an electric start sled both gauges go baty.

how was rect/reg assembly affected when you installed pipes?... what was wrong?

it wasnt it must have been one of those things,it must have went when i last rode it??im not sure!
