Anyone use their stock skid for tar? I'm trying to figure out where to put extra wheels. I went to the Polaris 5.38" idlers when I rebuilt my skid 2 years ago. Looks like I may be able to get 2 more per side on the outside. As far as inside, may fit one more axle up front. My rears are showing some small cracks & I'll replace. What is stock, 7"? Should I bump up in diameter like something comparable to the increase to the 5.38"? I forget what the stock idler diameter is. Generally, is this going to be enough wheels?

The pics have my Viper shocks on, they will come out & stockers going back in. Any picks or tips on how to strap down the skid to get the 2" I hear is the way to go? Do you have the preload really loose? Should the limiters be cranked as tight as possible?

Any tips welcomed.

.........

put all the wheels you can in the middle, take your sliders out.....polaris wheels are good improvement did it to my ice sled.....rolls alot easier

So run more inside the rails than outside? I seen some axle sets off racing sites that have 4 wheels per axle. So run something like that on the inside? Not sure more than 2 axles will fit inside. Any one have a pic of their set up?

runall wheels on the inside take off the transfer rods and run a 10 5/8 track.Get some srx 440 7.5" wheels for the rear.Loosen up the snter shock all the way and strap it down so there is about 3/4" between the w arm and the rubber stopper and strap your rear down so the track is parallel. You want alsmot the whole track on the ground just past the drive wheels.
