I have been reading about the skid swaps, xtra 10, m10 and what not. Why is the yamaha rear suspension setup not very good?
What are the pros and cons of the swap? Can a srx skid from a 99 be modified to perform better? I also have some pics of my rear suspension I would like to post to maybe get some help.
I am triing to get more weight transfer, and less tippy. I am not opposed to doing a swap on the rear suspension, but I want to make sure that there nothing I can really do to my setup to meet the same results.
Thanks any help will be appreciated

Never heard of an srx being tippy? Why do you want more weight transfer, so you can hang the skis? Your cornering will go to hell with too much.
For the ProAction
-Get Viper rears for extra suspension travel.
-Do you have transfer rods? If not, get them.
-Search & read how to dial it in. It is a good suspension for the design of the sled. It's not a ditch banger.
If you want a cadillac ride, get your wallet out & go M10.
Pounding the whooped out trails & ditches, sniff out the Pro-X skids.

How do I post pics?
I have transfer rods but I still dont have enough transfer to hook up on ice. I am wondering if I can dial in this suspension to be satisfied or if I need a different setup. I am knew to the srx. I know I have a set of transfer rods but I have not seen my set on any pics. I noticed a improvement when I adjusted them but I am thinking my shocks aren't adjusted right. Would like to post pics of my setup to see what you guys think.
Thanks Jason

put ur pics on photobucket.com they'll transfer it to a code you copy and paste into your post here
All suspensions can be improved! If you are happy with the way it performs for your riding style, dont change or swap anything.
What type of rider are you, ditchbanger, U.P. flat trails, lower michigan beatup tight and twisty trails, etc ?
Other than transfer, what dont you like about the suspension now?
I agree with Fro, never heard of an SRX being tippy?!?! What have you adjusted so far on the suspension(front or rear suspension)

as far as posting pics, click post reply then write your message. Scroll down the page and you will see a "Manage Atachments" button, click it and a window will pop up to allow you to browse you files and folders. Find your picture and double click it, after you have loaded each pic, click upload.
Picture size is a big issue, they have to be 800X900 or less in size. So if your pics are larger, you may have to re-size them with one of your computer programs before uploading them.

Fro thanks that video was great. I noticed that my upper rear was tight. I tried to loosen the front shock in the skid and that was wrong for weight transfer.
The only qeustion I have is they said the mountain setup allows for more transfer. What are the differences in setups?
Thanks Jason
