All done....
Well finally got it up and running. I got everything done except I have one extra washer. I am going to look and see if I can find where this goes. I am on my first warm cycle. I am going to do my last to steps for the break in and call it good. THANKS FOR THE HELP DAMAN
and all the other that helped.
Here are some pics.

LIFE MEMBER ONLY ONCE!!!
was this the first time you ever did a re-build yourself? So what do you think was the total time it took you from removal to re-install??So was it as easy as you thought it would be and do you have advice for others who want to try it on their own????

I worked on engines for a long time. Yes this was my first 2 skroke engine build. Did I think it was hard? No not at all but this is compired to a v6 engine or a v8 engine. Basically you have head,jug,2 case halves , and a crank.
I bought this with the bearing being bad and already disassembled with the engine out.
I thought it was going to be harder to do than it was actually to do. I think replacing the track is a lot harder to do or putting in studs. timpo for what it is worth.
TIPS
1. make sure you have yamalube 4 or 5
2. oil the whole engine
3. use copper spray on base and head gasket
4. replace the crank seals & water pump seals
5. make sure the carbs are clean
6. break in idea again impo pull the oil cable fully open for the first warm up cycle. let cool completely then run around the property . let cool down completely . Then run it like you always do with a couple of wot.
7 use full sys oil ( Still not sure if this is the way to go because I am still in the break in stage. I need to put some miles on it to see what happens.
hopefully this helps ya with your question about tips......
