forgot to ask do I just let it get to full operating temp then shut off. Screw in the compression tester and pull a few times with key off. Same for both sides. or is there something different.

Around 125-130 for a healthy mill.
do the test @ operating temp, throttle wide open, good 5-6 pulls each cyl do each hole two times for your average.

not sure if i am doing something wrong or not. I let it warm up then pushed the kill switch. pulled one plug out screwed in the compression tester held throttle open pulled about 5 times and the needle jumps to only about 95ish. THen did the same for the other cylinder and same results. The only reason I checked is curiosity sled has 1200 miles and never had a problem running.
Appreciate any input Jason

Could be a gauge problem or it's just that low, cani ask what type of tester you using and the lenght of hose on it? long thread adaptor or short?

Mac tester about 6 inches fo hose to a quick disconnect then another 8 inches of hose and the end has 4 threads to screw in

you know i've used $200 SNAP-ON(from work) and own a cheaper OTC and they all seem about the same. just get one that looks pretty good(not cheap looking crap)with a shorter hose.

I will be borrowing another one tomorrow There was definatly a leak somewhere because it didn't hold any pressure at all it would go to 95 and then to 0 on every pull but I should know tomorrow night for sure
