viper 780 835 or 900 ?

I have seen pat hauck personally on a 900stroker srx with pipes and it was a sled legnth slower then a 780 cpr srx with stock exhaust.
 
how is it that such a bigger engine can get beat by a smaller engine? was it just not set up right what would you suggest for the viper?
 
I have seen a few of haucks 900's and his 780's run better but not as good as other 780's
 
Maybe so, but a properly built 900 will produce more power than a properly built 780. I'm not saying that Hauck builds a good 900. I did not like the porting in his 780's either.
 
so iantomasi is probably the guys to call about the 900 stroker i heard they do good work better then hauck from what ive heard anyone have those numbers again? ;)!

Where is Don Mr. Viper these days. I thought he made the best 780's?
 
I must admit, Don does build a good 780. I have run against one of his 780's, with case porting, 40mm carbs, and bender big bore pipes. After it was properly clutched, it ran very well. It was surprisingly close to mine.

what eles can you do to a bender 835 to get more hp has anyone ever put it to full race so it just ran on race gas i want ot get as much hp out of it as i can
 
They also build full race 835's. More hp? More cylinder porting, higher compression, bigger carbs, and high rpm race pipes.
 
What about a big bore 800? High rpm box, jaws high rpm pipes and big carbs.. Any ideas on power output.. Should have one to test in a few weeks!!!
 
Sounds like 200. The 40.5's might work nicely to test on that........with proper brass :)

when justin fuller ( owner of full power performance ) was w/ bender he built a high h.p. 835 for a customer. 210+ h.p.. he is a master engine builder & 1 of the few people i call when i have a technical engine related question. never any b.s. just well thought out advice. call him @ 716 699 6299.
