help with rear w arm wheel????

I have the skid out to replace the track and have been going through it. The right side wheel of the rear w arm seems frozen to the shaft. The left spins freely but the right turns the whole shaft. noticed it when taking out bolts of rear skid. I dont think this is normal? Is the bearing froze? If so how do they come off? I've been trying but dont want to break anything else banging away with a hammer. The sleds a 2002 viper. Im stuck so any help would be great!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks chris.
 
sounds like its frozen.
the bolt right in the middle of the wheel. take that out. should be 14mm. wheel slide right off.
 
To make things a little clearer im talking about the top wheels on the rear arm that the collars slip on before bolting back to the tunnel. No bolts on these. The wheels where the tunnel bolts to the rear of the skid.

if the bearing was frozen,that wheel should have a flat spot on it.Remove the wheel that is spinning now with some sort of puller and tap with a socket the same size as the shaft and push the shaft thru the other end(with the other wheel still mounted).Then you can use a puller on the frozen one or place shaft vertical in a vice,but do not tighten the vise.Take a socket again and tap the shaft off that wheel.Clean shaft ends good and replace them bearings or re-pac them.They will come off but you have to work at it.Good Luck.
 
Sounds like the wheels that are in front of the transfer arms. If they are the guide wheels, they have simple 6205 bearings in them. I had replace both of mine and the two hifax saver wheel bearings when I had mine out this Spring. The guide wheels didn't come off very easy for me. I tapped them off by tapping on my transfer rods after removing the lower transfer rod bolt. Had mechanics press out and press new bearings in at work (took 5 minutes and a cup of coffee), and tapped wheel back on a nice clean shaft with a large deep socket.


Edit: bluemonster1 has the answer. I didn't catch that the bearing was rusted to the shaft. Take your time and don't ruin the shaft.
