should I be concerned with the mileage?

what should I look for? if I go and see it, what would be a reasonable price in your opinion for this sled?

thanks...Greg

"asking $2900
brand new 1 1/4 ripsaw track, carbides, slides, idler wheels and bearnings, exhaust gaskets, new belt and spare belt new plugs and spare plugs. Greased every 1000km, chaincase oil done every 3000km. Used Ipone synthetic oil. with 4 extra liters. 15,000km needs a kill switch otherwise good condition with regualer wear and tear. Always covered either by heated garage or cover stored in enclosed trailer all summer. 09 Ontario pass. small cosmetic damage on right side. comes with yamaha cover and seat jack. make an offer."

that sounds pretty good. should be able to get the kill switch assmy from laneo as that is the year vipers went digital hand warmers like the rx1. just from the milage it is due for a re-ring but if it runs well i would buy it. any 2 stroke with that milage usually will fail a leakdown test even though it runs well.

I dunno guys, 15,000kms is a lot of clicks on a sled if you don't know for sure how it's been taken care of. If you've done the work, and put that many on yourself that's fine, but buying with that many kms might be looking at buying someone elses' headache.
You'd have to start looking all everything else on the sled as well. Wear parts... sliders, bearings, pads, rotors, track, carbides, studs, PV's, exhaust...

I'd keep looking... I bought mine with 800kms on it.
