nice bikes.

only one i own presently that is close is my 2000 xt350. they never changed that one from 1985-2001 in northamerica other than the colours. did have a 1974 dt175 that i was given. ran the wheels off of that for a few years before i upgraded to 4 strokes.

I have an '83 TT600. It's a work in progress.

I'm looking to buy an '84 XT600 this winter, hopefully. Does anyone have one that they'd sell? Is there someone around Iowa that has an '84-'89 that I could look at?

The FZ in my avatar I've owned since new and now has 13k miles. Basically stock with the exception of the header/carb work. Awesome bike, giant technology leap back in the mid 80's. Only 1000 were made for the first year FZ 750. I'm unsure of how to post larger pics...sorry.

my dad has a 1985 Vmax, it has a custom paintjob and over $3000 in chrome on it, it is in great condition, it has about 60000miles on it....it spun a bearing when the crank got starved of oil, some how or another an Oring that seals the tube up that supplys oil to the oil lines blew out, some type of an ailment that was never fixed on the vmaxs..... my uncle (he owns a machine shop) did all kinds of polishing and honing so it should run better than ever....

ill get some pictures up here in the next day or 2...

the things i can think of that are on it

custom paintjob
V-boost
over 3K in chrome
new tire( ;)! finished the other one off on the County road)
lots of polished internals....

theres more, i just dont remember...

KR rode it again last w/e!!!

It's an inline four 500 (like the 750) except the out two cyls are reversed.

fwiw it's not my bike, I'm just piping it. which still rocks imho. :D

I had a few rz350's years ago. Damn fun bikes.

ALLSEASONRIDER, I remember lusting at those limited build 750's when they were hot off the press. Noice!

My Bike..1985 Yamaha 700 Maxim.

Got my bike out of mothballs.Been sitting for 6 years.Of course battery was dead and finished and the carbs were fused solid(days work to clean them).
Put new battery in,cleaned the carbs and out back.Bike started in about 15 seconds,I was happy.Just put on a new Front tire the other day also.Changed gear oil, engine oil and filter, new plugs installed.Checked all bearings front and rear wheels..all ok.
To bad it is raining right now and looks like for a few days more of it.Will try and take her out next week.

Did more tinkering on the Bike today.Re-adjusted the windshield,it was to one side more and not level.More waxing and tire cleaning and looks like next weeks weather is going to be awesome, into the 30's C. and no rain.I can put some miles on her then. ;)!
More pics from today.
