I pulled my power valves out today. I have 2000 miles on the sled, since I bought it. The valves had a nice coat of hard black carbon on them. Is this normal? They weren't very hard to remove and slid out pretty easily? Should I be switching to a different oil, been using yama lube. Also the dealer must have marked the bottom of the valves, when I took it in for it's 500 mile check-up, since they are stamped? This won't hurt the valve will it?
