I saw adjustable front shock mounting brackets at the Yamaha dealer in Kapuskasing ON this summer. I can't remember what they sold for. If I remember correctly, they had 3 mounting positions.

would they be for the srx - viper shock conversion or just for stock adjustment? Im still undecided what to do.

I'd guess they are primarily for ride height adjustment but I guess it would make it easier to use different shocks as well. It gives you a bit more flexibility than just flipping your mounting brackets.JeepJimmy said:would they be for the srx - viper shock conversion or just for stock adjustment? viper shocks and srx shocks have different style top mounts so it can only be for one or the other
Pat Hauck sells the adjustable shock brackets. I have mine set in the middle position with a long travel rear suspension. They make it ride way better than stock. Just remember that you need to reset your alginment. And oh, mine's a 2000. The track sets flat now. Way better hook up.
This year I'm going to try a set of Viper front shocks on mine.

E bay has the mounts for 1.25 extension for oem shocks , just like flipping mounts upside down, as someone already pointed out. If you get viper proaction arms and spindals it will give you almost another inch of height. Expensive inch of height though! just a thought!

I tried flipping and switching my brackets last night and it seems to me like they shouldn't go that way. The shock bolt's angle changes quite a bit when you do that but the mounting point at the bottom stays the same. It seems like this would put additional stress on the shock. Has anyone ever had issues with their shocks after this modification was done?
