The C6-Z06 is more in my price range and could pick up a really nice 2006 in the low $40K's if I shopped around. It has 505HP and will 0-60 in 3.7 and will do top speeds near 200 MPH
It has the naturally aspirated 427 cubic inch aluminum black and will hit 60MPH in 1st gear. Most cars will not touch this Vette. They had to compare it to the Porche with the twin turbo but the C6 ZO6 couldn't quite handle it. Get the vette cammed, heads, long tube header exhaust system, intake, and a tune, it will run right with the ZR1
For the C6 Z06 Lingenfelter makes twin turbo kits for this car that make 1000HP on pump gas.. or if I had $40K I could have them install a twin turboed 427 in mine of course there would be some drive train components that needed upgrading after.

Buy up these modern day muscle cars while you can, it wont be long before its the end of another era. I picked up a G8 GXP (1 of 1829) with the LS3 and Tremec TR6060. 4 doors and 360-370 whp stock, with a cai and tune their knockn on 400whp.
