anybody else wonder why posts get deleted so quickly from here? The SRX/Viper is full of posts left there but the Vmax gets deleted or moved in a heart beat. Wonder why

ya it sucks if your looking for info here better look fast
????? Not sure what your refering to. We don't generally delete threads unless they go south of the rules. We do move threads that get posted in the wrong forum.
Maybe he means when you click on the new post, the thread he was looking is not there anymore, it happens to me sometimes since all I do when I log in is go there since I try to stay on them.....I'm like a

Maybe that's it, if nobody posts while your gone, it doesn't stay on the new topics search for your next visit.

no the threads dont stay here as long as others
Well, I don't know what to say. There are 201 pages of threads in this forum going back to 2004.
573 pages in the SRX/Viper forum going back to the same year.
By others do you mean websites or other TY sections?

about a week or so ago I posted a thread on how to check if my CDI is OK. Next day I checked and the post is gone. I mean less than 24 hours. I dunno but it seems you can post a Vmax something and within a day or two it's gone. Look at the SRX forum and you see post that are weeks old.
I don't mean to hijack the forum but maybe I just can't find the 201 pages that are here somewhere.

That's the Vmax forum. It should read the same as other sections with multiple pages listed near the top right hand side.
Try this:
Click 'user CP' in the menu bar at the top.
select 'edit options' from the menu.
scroll down to the 'thread display options' section
In the bottom option field 'default thread age cut off' drop down box, you may have a short time period selected. Mine is set to 'show all threads' but you could use a smaller number like the last year or even 100 days. I believe a smaller number eases the load on the sites servers but don't quote me on that.
Let me know if that helps. don't forget to click 'save changes' at the bottom of the page.

It's sometimes more convenient to find your own posts by clicking on your username, then scrolling down to the 'forum info' box and selecting ' find all posts by username' or 'find all threads started by username', depending on which post you're searching for.
