I put a "early" metric Fast M10 with the jack in my O2 Viper late last season. Cost me $250 and another $300 to repair the rails, change wheels, replace bushings, and have the Fox shox rebuilt. It was night and day over the ProAction and I haven't even dialed it in yet !!!

10" of true vertical travel on all m-10's.In essence fast has more travel than most oem skidframes because they measure true vertical travel and don't come up with some creative measurement to come up with some big 13-14" travel number as cat and polaris were famous for.

10" true vertical travel. More than enough when properly dialed in. Note: when dialed in, you should feel your M10 bottom out occasionally on the biggests whoops. This way you know your are using the full available 10" of travel. One thing I learned through proactice is that the M10 feels "soft" and collapses a little more when the rider boards the machine, but it "stands up" at speed so you get the full 10" of travel on the trail. I initially set it way too stiff (like a poor-action skid) to keep it from squatting when I got on the machine, but then loosed it up to let it work and really enjoyed it more then.
It does take some work to dial them in, but trust me, you WILL be glad you spent the time and effort as you enjoy the ride even when he trail are bumpy.

About 4" of sag with rider aboard is correct for aggressive trail riding. Some will run 6", but I've found that to be to much for the way I ride.

I can guarantee you once your M10 is set up it is like riding a TOTALLY different sled. The only complaint I have with mine is I don't have my trasfer rate setup yet and I get a lot of track spin. But thats my fault because I don't have it set up yet. Other than that mine rides like a Cadillac ! Check sleezbay. Theres an M10 on there with the power adjuster and all the wiring for less than $700.

I installed a Polaris m-10 i bought off ebay for $365 Late on a Sun. night. It rides like a Cadillac.Haven't played with the settings yet,but without tweaking it it,s night & day.I've heard they dont launch very hard.No complaints hear.Install kit worked well.Anything is better than the No-Action.pipdviper said:I can guarantee you once your M10 is set up it is like riding a TOTALLY different sled. save your money with the mounting kit, you dont need one. I have m-10's in 4 yamaha sleds and never used a mounting kit. 05 rx1 warrior, 02srx 136, o3 viper 136, 96 vmax4 136 all with no mount kits..

All the mounting kit really is, is a 1/8" piece of aluminum, basically a spacer that goes inside the tunnel on each side. All you really need is to go to the FAST website and get the template so you know where to drill the tunnel. Drill your holes, slide in some washers for spacers and bolt it in.

I run the one in my ZX about 3" to 3.5" inches of sag and set it so it doesn't bottom. Takes that little bit of wishy washiness out of it, so it's more controlled for high speed running. I found that when I had it set to bottom on the harder stuff, that every once in awhile I'd hit one that would jar me right up through the back. I adjusted it so slightly that it took that possibility out. I may have lost slightly on the ride quality, but for me it's offset my the ability to run fast and hard.
