I noticed that i could not tighten the trottle in the position i wanted it in. It apears the trottle assembly is cracked so the screw wont tighten down against the bars. Do i need to replace the whole thing as it dosent come apart. And will i need to take the grip off to get throttle off meaning ill have to replace the grips also. Thanks again guys! Chris

throttle
My brother in-law had the same thing happen to his viper and you do not have to take the grip off. Just unscrew the screws and separate the throttle assembly into two.

I took the bars off and soak the grips in hot water and then a little help from a plastic windshield tool and the grips were off.
