good sled and good deal? recently edited
1998 srx 700 3,400 miles, selling due to lack of use, owned it for 2 years, did not ride since last year. This year the gas was drained , carbs clean , new clutch belt (yamaha) and fresh plugs . Hand warmers work great.
There are a a few rock chips on the front and small scuffs, also there is a crack in the hood by the strap
one of the seat buttons are missing, NO tears in the seat. Motor is pretty much stock , track is in ok shape and is studded.
I will also give new owner a set of dollys that can be use to wheel it around, and 1 gallon of 2 stroke yamaha oil.
i will give a written bill of sale ....1500obo , possible trade for atv
so went to look at it and it was hit or slid into somthing on the side but it looks like they fixed everthing should i get it? thanks

I just picked up a 99srx 700 34xx miles and it is is in mint shape for 1500.00 i thought it was a hell of a deal. you should be ok at 1500

Just ran across this add, so thought I would place a 'hook' in this thread to my classified ad. Have had minimal interest to this point...no buyers. Sled is in very good shape. Covered and stored inside (waxed often)~ Yes, I know....it's a sled.....but that is the way I keep my stuff. I picked up a Viper a couple of seasons ago, and this has become my second sled. Doesn't warrant having it sit as much as it does, so have decided to let someone else enjoy. It has been an awesome sled for the 6 years I have owned it. $1500.00 C*A*S*H* firm ...located in Central New York. Thanks!

Comp test the cyl's?
I had a 1998 srx and they had an issue with crank runout. This created a nasty vibe in the running boards and I believe many were fixed under dealer warranty. Mine was. This fact would make me nervous about buying the sled. I would check the history and see if Yamaha fixed the crank. I would worry that running this sled with this issue would have caused unwanted wear and tear.
