What does my sled need? Looking for advice

I have a stock 2000 v-max 700 with around 7,000 miles. It runs great and the compression tests are good (around 110 psi). My question is this: Other than putting gas and oil in and fixing what breaks, I haven't done anything else to the sled. Given its age and what you guys are seeing from the fleet, is there anything that I should be repairing/replacing/rebuilding on this machine? When should I consider doing a top end rebuild? Any advice would be appreciated.

Just a few things off the top of my head. clean the carbs! give that clutch a nice clean up and make sure it's not all worn out. Maybe put a new spring in it too. Make sure your reeds are still good.

I wouldn't do the top end until your compression slips to 100 or less. Biggest bang for your buck will be new rollers, springs and weights if they are grooved and an excellent cleaning to the clutch. A new belt and some plugs and she probably runs like new.

Not saying everyone should do it, but a buddy of mine has a red head triple with 14000+ miles on it and the motor has never been apart!
