where do u think its the best place to buy studd ....not sure about the length i should go to be real safe for a 1 inch track
 
it isn't enough getting stuck with your SRX,now you want it to dig down to China with studs now..lolllllll PS: I sold my HC's.sticking strictly to stock.Being that I basically got my sled up to 118 mph on the speedo last season..I am content.
I was thinking about studs also,but seeing the damage my the original track that was studded did,I am hesitant to do so.Cut thru the fins on my front exchanger but not to the core at least.And the tunnel has been chewed at also.
 
well the track is almost new so hope for the best.. i watch a friend track explode one time wow bigg mess but it was studd on side too so..... ill go only in middle with 144...oh and the heel clicker will be on stand by on the work bench lollll ;)!

If you go with 1.075" you should be good and as far as a place to buy them here in Canada got to Royal Distributing and check out the Woody's stainless they have a price of around $1.10 each.You can also check some of the site sponsors as they have decent prices too.
 
I have run both and can say I never lost any plastic ones for the entire time I had them in the original track,they were Saber brand studs and backers.As long as you don't beat the hell out of your sled I'd put plastic in and angled ones if you can get them which are available from http://www.snowstuds.com/.
 
round backers should do.The square ones may turn on you.By the time you stud your track,it will have costed you way more then what the price of a new track is.I looked into it and sort of backed off from buying some.

I suggest you look into a Camoplase Ice Attak. It's a 1" Hacksaw w/240 lug studs. It equals up to 1.063 total height.

I helped my cousin put one on his Mach 1 last winter and he likes it,it's the closest to having a traditionally studded track with still having the safety aspect on ice.
