Proaction skid cross shaft lengths

Does anybody know the exact dimensions for the cross shafts on a MM proaction skid? I picked up a used fabcraft skid from an edge chassis and want them to make me shafts to fit perfectly.....thanks.
 
8 13/16" - some shafts utilize washers and are a little smaller. Which shaft are you referring to?

Are you referring to the mount shafts? They of course fit the tunnel width minus any brackets employed.

Yes sir! The shafts that mount to the tunnel. I have not taken my skid out yet and wanted to see if anyone knew the widths of them so I could order my fabcraft shafts.
 
Still lazy and haven't pulled my skid, does anyone know the dimensions (lengths) of these shafts?

fabcraft should know exactly what you need. they have alot of experience with the yamaha skids, unless for some reason they are becoming like other vendors and dropping the 2 stroke stuff.
 
Mike @ Fabcraft said they have never done an install at the shop on a MM with a stock tunnel, so they don't know what needs to go in there as far as cross shaft lengths, believe me I asked the same question. Told me to measure to the nearest 1/8th inch.
 
16 3/16 is within an 1/16 just measured up a sx/mm tunnel yesterday, that measurement was taken with the stock tunnel support plates figured in as well. If Fabcraft wants to use different support plates, the stock plates add about 3/16 for both plates combined.
 
Thanks Grape, my ExMark mower doesn't want to start today and took all my spare time. After rebuilding the starter it appears to be the battery. I tested that first, but it took a charge and held it overnight. Today it won't hold a charge at all.

That measurement sounds right. I do have a MM skid out to the barn with the stock shafts still in it that I could measure. Just have to find time to get out there.
 
I just grabbed a good tape and the front shaft is 16 7/16 and the rear shaft is 16 5/16. Guess I need to throw out the other tape. The shafts I measured are brand new M-10 shafts, and I have always found them to be really tight, so backing off these numbers a small amount will not hurt. Ding, shoulda bought a John Deere tractor, mine has 6 years on original battery, hooked up a battery tender quick connect, never used it, and it sits all winter every year, as I am too lazy to put the plow on. Besides, the plow don't fit under the trailer, and it can't clean the snow on the tops of the vehicles.

If you do find spare time that would be awesome. I crawled under my sled this morning at 5 am and measured the front arm to be about 16 3/16", but I'm assuming the shaft extends a little beyond the arm. I appreciate the help.

SXR 500 front shaft

I just measured a a front shaft I have from a SXR500. It was 16.5"

My measurements on a 141 MM skid were slightly different than Grape's of a M10, so I was waiting until I could measure more carefully. However, just fit your tunnel with whatever brackets you have in it. Leaving a little extra clearance (slightly longer shafts) is not a bad thing.
 
Here are the accurate shaft measurement from a Mtn Max. The Mtn Viper uses same shafts but please note that the 121 skids use different front and rear shafts.

Sorry it took so long. Work was unreal this week.
  • Front (H-arm top) 16.554" (a little under 16 9/16)
  • Center (2 little carrier wheels) 16.610"(a little under 16 5/8 )
  • Rear (different mount brackets and collars than 121) 15.448"(a little over 15 7/16)
