Puttin 8 tooth drivers and a 2 inch paddle on the vmax 600 136"

Stock gearing is 23/39

Can someone get me in the ballpark of where I may want to be? Thanks in advance

I'm a firm beliver in gearing 2 to 1 final drive ratio. Depending on the intended us of the sled of course. Your 23/39 x 1.13 (8 tooth drives as apposed to 9) gives a 1.91 to one. Probably pretty good right there without spending a dime. Up to you I guess.

If it was mine I would, but that's just me. I run 2.06 (I think) in my srx. Pulls like a train here at home, climbs great out west, and still will run a decent enough mph on the lake to kill me if I fall off :)

Run the stock gearing with the 8 tooth drivers and the 136. Gearing it slightly lower may cause trenching in the heavy snow in MI and Ont. Personally done a few 136 sx's and stock with the 8 tooth extros seems to be the best.

I agree - The 11% change due to switching from 9T to 8T drivers seems to be just about right for switching a shorty to a crossover (136 - 144) sled. If you go longer, you may need to drop lower, but you will likely want to set the skid back to avoid the trenching that Grape mentioned.

Chadly, YUP! When I did the Viper I left the stock reverse gearing and installed 8 tooth drivers. You've seen it run, right? Save your money for FUEL!! That thing is gonna be THIRSTY pulling that gearing and track LOL!

Thanks guys.. Damn Dave she is already thirsty lol....

Randy yes I got a 04 viper s 3000 miles for 2000.00
