I did a search on it and could not find what I am looking for. Is there a store that sells Yamaha Blue in a spray can? I would like to repaint the hood of my sled and I have used paint in a can before and it looked pretty decent after a wet sand and buffing. I'm sure a clear coat is pretty readily available...

Try Painter's Supply in GR. They can build aerosols, but PPG base/clear would be better. Spend a few extra bucks now and you'll be happier later.
theres a auto parts shop here in northern maine that does base clear in aerosols, check with an auto store.

Yeah, i got one mixed up in town here. Guy said Yamaha blue, come back in an hour, done. 20bucks.
a friend of mine just had some made ...he took my hood there and they cleaned and waxed it and put a gun to it and got the exact color match ...cost like 230 bucks a pint ....it has a ton of pearl in it so that is why it was so much ....ill get the exact recipe from him if you want ....

Thanks YamahaHead, but I am looking to do this hood for a little less than 230 bucks. I think I will try Painter's Supply over here and see what they can get me. I have done this type of stuff before but on an outboard engine cover and had good results and I am looking to do the same with the hood, just have some spider cracking and chips that I want to take care of.

www.colorrite.com. this stuff is as close as factory as i have seen . it's not cheap. $35.00 a tin!!but worth it. you will be happy with this stuff.

very expensive stuff I see. The supplier from Canada(Quebec) sell a can of Yamaha Blue for some $38.00 plus hazard shipping fee of $15.00,then there is regular shipping and taxes. Bet you that one can would cost me some

Yep the Canadian distributor for the Yamaha OEM paint ColorRite is http://www.dpars.com/.
No hazard shipping when I ordered two spray cans last year. Cost me 70.60$ to my door. Includes 6$ DHL shipping and one tax. Still not cheap.
