I found bender pipes for a good price and the guy is telling me that they will fit my 2000 SX700R.. He used them on a SX600R (or whatever the 600 triple redhead is)
Is this true? I want to know before I buy and try and bolt them on...
Thanks!

They were the same pipe for those two motors.

Welcome aboard. All kinds of good info to be found here. Like all boards there can be some junk and bad info occasionally, but the mods and the members do a nice job of keeping it clean and real. Have fun poking around and remember the search button can be your best friend.

Well thank you!
I just negotiated on the pipes as long as there aren't any holes in them I get them for 210.00
Would anyone know what weights and spring and jets I would need?
I guess the sled I just bought has a hauk clutch kit in it buyt I am not sure what that means as far as pipes go. Engagement right now is 4600

I think there is a bender clutch set up in the tech pages or in the user set ups in the tech pages. If not fire up the search engine in the upper right.
When you go to put the flanges onto the motor. Check to make sure they are not blocking a portion of the exhaust port.
Those flanges will bolt on both ways.
Put the flange on the head, run your finger from the flange to the exhaust port. THen flip it around the other way. You will see what I am talking about.
Not sure if it would hurt performance, but something to look at to get them on the right way.

MM700>>> Thank you for the tip, I would not have thought to look at that! It would surely hurt perfomance and change flow etc. (restriction)
unless it is only a few thou... but I will look at that for sure!

I bought the sled, started it for 20 seconds on the trailer to see if it ran.. and am already modding... so sad.

Ryan B - you are the man, I'll look for the clutch setup
91 is all I have ever run.
I try to be helpful when I have something useful to add

150 main jets
52.5 pilots
raise needles 1/2
89L weights with a 2.4 gram rivet
14.5 mm rollers
y-s-y primary spring
52/44 helix
green secondary spring at 70 wrap.
this is about the 1,000,000th time i have posted this & a search on bender pipes would have gotten u there a lot quicker.
please use the search function!!!
