MY 2000 SRX WILL NEVER GO DOWN A TRAIL AGAIN. ICE, GRASS AND MAYBE TAR, NOW ONLY. WHATS THE BEST WAY TOO REMOVE THE HOOD INSULATION. GOT PRETTY LUCKY PEELING IT AWAY, BUT ALOT BROKE INTO CHUNKS. ANYBODY WITHOUT HURTING HOOD. 3:16 (yammie tony)

If the glue is just sticking, just use WD-40 and a rag, then use a little plastic (NOT METAL) scraper.

Pull at the foam as you scrape it away, when done, spray carb cleaner on the glue, and let it sit for a few minutes, and wipe away. The stuff will fall right off in big globs. Just remember to be careful where you spray, because carb cleaner will discolor plastic.

heat gun might also help a bit Tony. They work great for removing stickers....

I would use acetone or MEK on a rag or quickly wipe away with laquor thinner wipe on wipe off. Also brake cleener would probably take it off.
What ever you use make sure to try a test run somewhere you wont see it.

3M adhesive remover works great. Never had any issues with it.
I'll second the 3M adhesive remover. Available at most auto parts stores.
