how to change rivits out of stock weights?

just what it says how do i change out the rivits from my stock sxr 700 weights?im trying to get a little more from my sled

Drill and a punch.

what he said, punch the centre on the factory end of the rivet and drill until the head comes off, don't drill all the way threw the weight. tap it out with the punch.

thanks then to put new ones in?just hammer the end to mushroom it in?

yep, just make sure you check the clearence in the clutch so it doesn't rub after mushrooming them.

In the past I've just 'crushed' the rivet in my bench vice (while it was in the weight of course ). I don't trust myself enough with the masher to not miss and screw up the weight.
