I have a 2000 SRX 700. It has a Hartman 144 1.25 inch lug 23/38 gearing. It has a 50/44 helix with a Yamaha white spring(stiffest one on the chart). I have not rode the sled yet. The owner said it worked great on or off the trail.I am going to change the gearing to 23/40. It has 9 tooth drivers. I am concerned that the helix may to steep for the motor to pull. A ZR 900 runs a 50/38 . Will this motor pull a 50/44 ? With the longer track?

srx motors are torky and like to be lugged down some and pull through the rpms, not sure how the 144 would affect it though
Arctic cat helix,s measure out 6-8 degrees less then a yamaha in real life.
50/44 is not a lot of helix for a srx.

I'd be more concerned about the white spring than the helix .thats an awful strong spring for a srx. might not upshift very well. i have basicly the same setup 144x1.5 ,stock gears ,9 tooth drivers and i find the silver spring a bit to stiff for most clutch setups,i use the green most of the time, but as with anything clutching, the only way to know is to test, test and test some more.
