well its September now and royal distributing has 15% off everything. I blew the track off the SRX on the last ride of the year and im thinking now seems like a good time to replace it.

What do you guys think of the tracks with the studs moulded right into the paddles? are they any good? do they offer any more or less traction compared to conventional studding?
ill be going 121 2.52 15 and a 0.75 to 1.063 profile.
Is it better with a fully clipped or half clipped track.

let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks.

I do most of my riding around the Parry Sound (Ontario) area if anyone wants meet up for a rip. let me know

I helped my cousin install one of the Hacksaw prestudded tracks on his Mach 1 last winter and he likes it.It replaced the stock track studded the old fashion way with push through studs which from what I can gather from him does give better traction on glare ice but for overall performance the prestudded track is a very good product.
As far as fully clipped vs every third window closed the fully clipped all open window design is supposed to allow more snow into the skid and help reduce the hyfax wear.I have one of the older .910 lug Predator tracks that has every third window closed and personally I don't notice any abnormal slider wear.It all really has to do with the conditions you ride in and properly seasoning of the sliders when new.

I'm also running one of those pre-studded Hacksaws this year and I can tell you after I picked the track up and inspested it I was impressed...

Where around Parry Sound do you ride??? Do you ever hit up Memories or Bass Lake or H&H???

Im a little concerned on how much grab the pre-studded tracks offer over the conventional stud as they seem quite a bit shorter.

I usually ride from parry sound to ardbeg, sundridge, huntsville, bracebridge, gravenhurst. Around those locations mostly, i make it to the jolly roger frequently. cant wait for some snow.

Your right in thinking they wont grab,They are great for a lower HP sled or a crusier or somebody that just dont want to run picks with a longer paddle. They will only stop the track from sweeping as bad in the icey corners and such.

If you are used to a decent hookup on ice than i would pass.

I would contact bruce at cb performance they have good deals on tracks probably could get a 9830 for close to 400can shipped.

Thats interesting I have never seen those before, where could I look to pick some of those up? I will be doing all the bearings and the rough bogey wheels while I have it apart (any other suggestions?).

Sent Bruce an email yesterday, havent heard back yet though.

Bluewho you still in Caledon? Im living just outside Schomberg right now, you know where that is?

Yep still in caledon john.Your getting close to my sunday running up the canal to simcoe.

You should go up to Royal and get a 1 inch hacksaw 160 golddiggers and some antislip drivers and we will have some fun this winter.

Spend those dollars!!

HAHA I love running up the canal i have been doing it for years now. You have to love the "Duck or Quack your head" bridge. I had to bend the windshield on the old phazer to get under it.

ya ill have get up there soon and keep royal in business.
